Donations can come in a variety of forms and are a great way for your company to support the Hospice’s work. Monetary gifts can be paid before tax is deducted and are the easiest and simplest donation you can make. Or if your employees are organising or taking part in an event, match funding is an excellent way of supporting your staff’s fundraising endeavours.
Unwanted samples, end-of-line stock or good quality second hand goods are all examples of the ways in which St Clare can generate income through the re-sale of unwanted items. These sorts of gifts in kind also make great auction lots or raffle prizes. Alternatively, you could set up a donation station within your company to help keep our shops well stocked.
Offering free services or professional advice is another valuable way your company can support St Clare by sharing your company’s assets and professional expertise.
Alloy Fabweld Ltd are long term supporters of St Clare. They have generously helped us by donating their expertise on a variety of projects over the years, most recently by building the first ever ambulance canopy for the Inpatient Unit – a gift the equivalent of £40,000.
Allow Fabweld have also shown themselves to be true friends to St Clare outside of their core business. Their managing director, Shaun Pledger, has been an amazing champion of our work, who supports us in a number of ways – most notably by sharing our mission and inviting his contacts to our events. This simple gift has an amazing knock on effect and helps us to continue to be there for those who need us in our community.
