Why Partner with St Clare Hospice?
St Clare Hospice is your local charity that provides specialist palliative care for the local community in West Essex and the borders of East Hertfordshire. Our approach to care gives patients and their families the strategies they need to enjoy the best possible quality of life. The service is free and with costs that reach over £4 million and with limited NHS funding, we need to build partnerships with our local businesses.
A partnership with St Clare Hospice helps to fund the free service that we offer to over 1,500 patients (and their families and loved ones) from your company’s local community every year. There are also tangible rewards and benefits for our partners and so a partnership with us makes good business sense.
2017 £50 Challenge Champions
MODE Beauty Therapy raised an astonishing £3,116 through various activities over the 12 weeks.
Karen Montagnino, the owner of MODE, said:
“The staff at MODE were delighted to take part in the £50 Challenge for St Clare – and we had a great time over the course of the 12 weeks! We all took the challenge to heart and wanted to turn our £50 into as much money as possible for St Clare.”
“I personally know how incredible the care at St Clare is, and this just seemed like the perfect way to use our expertise as a local business and put our talents to good use by raising vital funds for a great local charity. MODE held lots of events over the course of the 3 months, including running a raffle, delivering manicures and treatments in a local residential care home, and having a fancy dress themed day – when we all came dressed up in Mexican outfits, complete with big moustaches!”
“I am really proud of my team for taking part wholeheartedly in the challenge, and it was a great thing to do as both a team building activity and to grow awareness of our business.”
Laura Wood, MODE Therapist and coordinator of their £50 Challenge, said:
“It was a great experience for me to coordinate the £50 Challenge. I have developed some important transferrable skills such as persuasion, leadership and project management and built a wonderful relationship with our local hospice. I really recommend to other employees to take the opportunity to coordinate the £50 Challenge in future years.”
There are a myriad of opportunities for any business to partner with St Clare, whatever the budget.
