"As one of the Hospice’s regular street collectors, I’ve become a familiar face to many over the years, most often when I’m standing shaking my St Clare tin outside the local supermarkets."

“I do like to rattle my tin so people know I’m there and people are incredibly generous. Quite often people will come over and give £5 or £10 as soon as they see me wearing the St Clare tabard. I find that a smile goes a long way too.

Over the years, I have stood out in all weathers but I’m happy to do so because St Clare is such a wonderful cause. It’s nothing to give up a couple of hours of my time when I know that the money I’m helping to raise is so vital to the charity.”
