Find out about our work, our services, and how to get involved
Launched last year, our Open Hospice events provided a valuable opportunity for people to learn more about the Hospice, get involved with future planning and find out how they can work with us.
This year, we are running our Open Hospice events again, as part of the national awareness week Dying Matters, which runs from 10-16th May.
Our daytime event, delivered via Zoom, 1-2pm on Tuesday 11th May, is aimed at our colleagues working in the local health, social care and voluntary sectors.
During the event, a range of speakers from the Hospice will talk about different areas of their work and demonstrate that ‘we are more than you think’ – the overall theme for this year’s events.
Local health, social care and voluntary sector partners will get a chance to find out more about our services, and how to refer to them, and the professional education and training we offer. We will also discuss how we can work together to help them deliver the best possible care and support to their patients, clients and service users.
Additional to this, people will have an opportunity to hear more about our future plans and help us to shape them in order to deliver services that our community needs.
This event is free to attend but you must register in advance on Eventbrite to receive the Zoom event link.
