Get involved in St Clare Hospice’s family Pumpkin Party

St Clare Hospice’s Patient and Family Support Services team are hosting the hospice’s first ever Pumpkin Party!

The Pumpkin Party is aimed at supporting bereaved families and families who have a relative or friend living with a life-limiting illness. Please note, it is not a fundraising event.

Here you’ll be able to enjoy an afternoon of arts and crafts, party games and a host of autumn-inspired activities, including:

  • Creating autumn lanterns, wreaths and paintings.
  • Chocolate apple decorating
  • Pumpkin carving
  • Donut bobbing

…and more!

This party will be taking place at the Hospice on Saturday 28th October from 1-4pm.

Who can attend the Pumpkin Party?

The Pumpkin Party is for:

  • Bereaved children and their family.
  • Children and families who have a relative or friend living with a life-limiting illness.

Please note, it is not a fundraising event. 

Do we have to pay to attend?

No, this is a free event.

Will food and drink be on offer?

Light refreshments of hot dogs, hot chocolate and cake will be available. Please notify us of any allergies or dietary requirements when booking your space, we will try to accommodate to these where possible.

Where can I park?

We have free onsite parking available at the hospice, with accessible parking spots.

Is this event accessible?

This event will take place in the dining room of the hospice. The building is wheelchair accessible with access to assistive and disabled toilets. There is a hearing loop available on site.

Is this event a Halloween-themed event?

No. Although we’ll be decorating pumpkins, this event is an autumnal themed event and we ask that no Halloween fancy dress is worn.

Will there be photographs and videos taken at this event?

Yes, photographs and videos will be taken at the Pumpkin Party for event marketing. If you or your child would not like to have your photograph or video taken, please approach a member of staff on the day.

St Clare Hospice's The Echo Project logo. It is available to any child or young person up to the age of 18 years old, living in West Essex and East Herts, who is facing a loss or who has been bereaved.

St Clare Hospice's GriefLine logo. GriefLine can be called Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm on 01279 945089.

If you want to talk, we’re here. GriefLine is a local resource offering emotional support across West Essex and East Herts to anyone struggling with their grief around the loss of someone. GriefLine is available to call from 8am to 5pm every week day and up to 8pm on Tuesday and Thursday.*
