Come along to St Clare Hospice for an afternoon of crafts, games and activities designed to support bereaved children

Join us on Thursday 4th April 2024 (10am – 1pm) for our spring St Clare Hospice Storytime Picnic, a children’s bereavement event for 4-6 year olds, inspired by children’s book ‘I Can’t Believe They’re Gone

This special free picnic, held in our beautiful Hospice gardens, is aimed at supporting children who have been impacted by the death of someone close to them.

“You know…emotions aren’t good or bad, or right or wrong – they just are.” – Written by Karen Brough, the book follows the mouse family on an emotional journey as Bear, their empathetic companion, helps them navigate the complexities of grief and its unique expressions.

Led by our Patient and Family Support Team, the three-hour session will provide light touch bereavement support through fun, hands-on activities and play – including creating DIY hand drums, decorating cupcakes, playing sleeping mice and going on an exciting treasure hunt in search of cheese!
