We’re delighted to invite you to our third annual Walking in Memory event this autumn…
Join us to remember your loved ones and celebrate their lives at our 5k countryside memorial walk on Sunday 19th September 2021.
Walking in Memory is our flagship sponsored fundraising event, when we come together with other local people and families to take part in a 5k walk in honour of a loved one. It’s a special event for the whole family to take part in, and is a thoughtful way to remember those who we love and miss by coming together with others who understand.
Starting from St Clare Hospice, the walk will set off on a 5k route throughout the beautiful fields and footpaths of the local Hastingwood countryside (courtesy of Paris Hall Farm), and meeting back at the Hospice for a hot soup and a roll. On the day, you will receive a complimentary, hand-held windmill that can be personalised in memory of the person you are walking for. The windmills will be placed in the Hospice grounds as part of a temporary display, however, there will also be some available for you to buy and take home.
Remember to raise Sponsorship!
By walking in memory of someone special, you’ll also be helping to raise vital funding that supports St Clare to continue offering our specialist, compassionate care to local people living with a life-limiting illness, and their families.
The ticket registration fee helps us to cover the cost of the event, but we are asking that participants raise as much sponsorship as they can from family, friends and colleagues. Click here to set up your online fundraising page today!
