DESCRIPTION:Make a Will to care for your loved ones\, and St Clare\nYour will is the only way you can be sure your wishes will be carried out\, and your loved ones protected after you die.  \nProtect your loved ones by taking part in our Make a Will campaign\, where local solicitors will waive their usual fees (often starting at around £220 for a basic will!) in exchange for a donation to St Clare Hospice. \nHow it works\nFrom 1st June\, you can make or amend your will – all that your chosen solicitor will ask is that you kindly make the suggested minimum donation to St Clare Hospice: \n\n£180 – Single will\n£220 – Double will\n£95 – Amended will\n\nStep 1 – Choose your solicitor and call them directly \nContact one of our participating solicitors (shown below) and quote ‘St Clare Make a Will’ to book your appointment. \n\nFoort-Tayler – Dunmow\nGKP Legal & Wealth – Ongar\nStapley & Co – Loughton\nWade & Davies – Dunmow – 4 appointments available\nWestcott Wills – Bishop’s Stortford – 5 appointments available from October 2025\nKerry Nabarro at Pluto Probate – St Clare Hospice & Hastingwood\n\nStep 2 – Make your donation \nBefore your appointment with your chosen solicitor\, make your donation to St Clare Hospice – in lieu of the will writer’s usual fee. Whether you are supporting a relative\, friend or neighbour\, we know how much you give…and we want to give something back to YOU! \nThis April\, we will be hosting our second annual Carers Connections Day — in partnership with Epping Forest District Council. A special event just for caregivers promising information\, practical advice and connection in a welcoming and supportive space. \n\nDate — Thursday 30th April 2026\nTime — 10am-12pm & 1-3pm\nLocation — Waltham Abbey Leisure Centre\, EN9 3EL\n\nRegister your attendance \nUnlocking the information you need to help you to care\nThe event welcomes those who provide care to someone who couldn’t manage without their help to learn more about the support they can access in their caring role. \nYou will be able to speak to the St Clare team about the support available from your local hospice as well as meet representatives from Epping Forest District Council’s Community Engagement Team and other local organisations who will be able to answer all your questions. \nWhat to expect from Carers Connections\n\nExpert advice: Learn about the resources\, services and financial benefits and entitlements available to help you in your role\n\n  \n\nPractical information: Get advice on equipment\, environment adaptations and digital support that can help you in your own home\n\n  \n\nCommunity connections: Meet representatives from local organisations dedicated to supporting unpaid carers like you.
