SUMMARY:Make a Will 2025
DESCRIPTION:Make a Will to care for your loved ones\, and St Clare\nYour will is the only way you can be sure your wishes will be carried out\, and your loved ones protected after you die.  \nProtect your loved ones by taking part in our Make a Will campaign\, where local solicitors will waive their usual fees (often starting at around £220 for a basic will!) in exchange for a donation to St Clare Hospice. \nHow it works\nFrom 1st June\, you can make or amend your will – all that your chosen solicitor will ask is that you kindly make the suggested minimum donation to St Clare Hospice: \n\n£180 – Single will\n£220 – Double will\n£95 – Amended will\n\nStep 1 – Choose your solicitor and call them directly \nContact one of our participating solicitors (shown below) and quote ‘St Clare Make a Will’ to book your appointment. \n\nFoort-Tayler – Dunmow\nGKP Legal & Wealth – Ongar\nStapley & Co – Loughton\nWade & Davies – Dunmow – 4 appointments available\nWestcott Wills – Bishop’s Stortford – 5 appointments available from October 2025\nKerry Nabarro at Pluto Probate – St Clare Hospice & Hastingwood\n\nStep 2 – Make your donation \nBefore your appointment with your chosen solicitor\, make your donation to St Clare Hospice – in lieu of the will writer’s usual fee. Please note: You may incur further charges if your will is complex. \n \n\n \n  \nStep 3 – Have your appointment \nFeel the satisfaction of finally organising your affairs or making amends to your will that you’ve been meaning to make for some time – all while supporting your local hospice. \n\nGet in touch with us\nFor more information\, please contact our Corporate Relationship Fundraiser\, Sydney Sykes by emailing sydney.sykes@stclarehospice.org.uk or calling 01279 773769.

Trees will be collected on Thursday 8th\, Friday 9th\, and Saturday 10th January 2026. \nHow much does it cost to register my tree for recycling with St Clare? We ask for a suggested donation of £15 per tree collected. \nHow does it work? When registering your tree\, our system will acknowledge your registration and input your address into our system ready for it to be collected in January. A list is then generated for our kind volunteers to come and collect your trees! \nCan I register my tree(s) on the day? Unfortunately\, all trees must be booked in advance. Please note\, registration closes on Tuesday 6th January 2026. \nWhich postcodes do St Clare Hospice collect Christmas trees from? Please note we only collect trees from the following postcodes: CB10\, CB11\, CM5\, CM6\, CM16\, CM17\, CM18\, CM19\, CM20\, CM21\, CM22\, CM23\, CM24\, EN9\, IG7\, IG9 and IG10. \nWhen will my tree(s) be collected? We cannot guarantee a specific time or day that your tree(s) will be collected during the collection period. Please make sure you leave it outside your property by 8am on Thursday 8th January. \nWhere should I leave my tree(s)? To ensure that our team of volunteers can make collections\, please ensure your registered tree is left in an accessible location\, at the front of the property address provided. Your tree must have all decorations and tree stands removed. \nDo I have to be in? No. Please just leave your tree in its designated place ready for us to collect\, providing we can access it. \nCan I volunteer my time? Absolutely! We’d love to have you join Team St Clare. We welcome everyone to get involved in the post-festive fun of the Christmas tree collection whether it be recycling your tree or helping to collect them!
