The support we receive from local businesses enables our hospice to continue developing life-changing services for those facing a life-limiting illness, the end of life and bereavement. We work together, hand-in-hand, to help build a community where nobody has to face their journey alone.

Supporting St Clare Hospice through your place of work

If you own a business, or work locally, you can support St Clare Hospice. For us, every corporate partnership is unique, and we will work with you to help develop a partnership that is right for your business.

There are plenty of opportunities to give back to your community through supporting your local hospice charity…

Donate to our charity

Make a monetary donation

For every £1 that is donated to St Clare, 86p goes directly on paying for our specialist care services for those who need us. The other 14p goes towards our vital support teams who ensure our hospice services run effectively and sustainably. We gratefully receive any monetary gift, no matter how big or small; whether it’s a donation from your business or something you have fundraised for with your colleagues at work.

Give a Gift in Kind

Your business may wish to buy vital care equipment for us, or offer business services to us as a charitable donation. Alternatively, you could donate new or pre-loved items to us; so we can sell these in our charity shops, or use them in auctions or raffles. This will help us to generate financial income that pays for our care.

Payroll Giving

If you’d like to make a regular, tax-free donation to St Clare Hospice, you can do so straight from your wages through the organisation you work with. Your donation to St Clare could be as little as £5 a month; but will make a big difference to our charity. With Payroll Giving, depending on your income tax bracket, the cost of your donation is reduced by 20-30%, too; so your £5 donation comes straight to St Clare, but you only pay £3-4!

Networking with Heart for local professionals

A Networking with Heart meeting taking place virtually during 2020

Our Networking with Heart events are ‘business breakfasts’. They invite representatives of local organisations to come and break bread together under the welcoming roof of St Clare Hospice.

Networking with Heart is just like your regular, professional business networking event. You’ll get to meet new people from businesses you could work with; discover opportunities for reaching new audiences; and build relationships with others who could help spread the word about your work. However, at Networking with Heart, you’ll also know that your networking activity is helping to change local people’s lives, within the community in which your business operates.

Business Ambassador LogoOur Business Ambassador programme offers owners and directors of local companies the opportunity to engage in a rewarding and active role alongside our charity. As a Business Ambassador with St Clare, you’ll proudly represent our CQC Outstanding organisation, working towards fulfilling our charitable mission to reach more people than ever who need our life-changing hospice services.

Equipped with knowledge acquired through working with our frontline hospice care staff, the Business Ambassador role builds robust relationships with other organisations in the thriving local business network; helping to spread the word of St Clare whilst strengthening your own professional reputation in the process.

Through raising St Clare’s profile and onboarding new local businesses who could support us, you’ll help us to generate the vital income that pays for our care, allowing us to reach more people who need us. Your Ambassador role plays a key part in bringing together our community, and offering a platform for businesses to fulfil their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aspirations on a rewarding, local scale.

Our relationship

We are proud of the friendships we form with local businesses; it’s an honour to work alongside people who also wish to help develop accessible and equitable palliative care and bereavement support services through supporting our hospice. We hope you will be proud to be a part of our mission, too!

As part of raising awareness of the corporate partnerships we make with local businesses, you’ll…

  • Be provided with a bespoke St Clare logo to proudly show on all of your business’ marketing materials
  • Receive dedicated promotion through St Clare’s marketing channels about your Ambassador role and your business
  • Be invited to attend our St Clare events as an honoured Business Ambassador
  • Have the chance to speak at our quarterly Networking with Heart business breakfast events, in front of dozens of other businesses

Join us

If you are a local business owner or director, and are interested in learning more about the Business Ambassador role and how it could support your company, we’d love to hear from you. To join our Business Ambassador programme, we humbly request a £1,000 joining fee, and ask that you sign a Commercial Participator Agreement so that our charity can ensure reliable income to help us sustainably plan for the future of our care.

Partnerships with St Clare for local businesses

Our corporate partnerships enable you to build a long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationship with our charity. We’ll work together to support both the hospice, and your local business, to reach new audiences and strengthen links with our communities.

Become a Sponsor

Here at St Clare, we run a multitude of supportive community projects, as well as local fundraising events to help us raise vital income. We gratefully welcome sponsorship from local businesses who wish to help alleviate some of the running costs of our charitable activities; so that we can ensure as much resource as possible is spent directly on providing life-changing services to local people.

Sponsoring an event or project with St Clare Hospice is a powerful way to align with our organisation and charitable mission, raising awareness of your business to local people who already engage with our charity. We’ll proudly display your logo on our relevant marketing materials. And, we’ll promote our partnership with local networks and the public.

Charity of the Year

Nominating St Clare Hospice as your company’s Charity of the Year is a great way to show ongoing and dedicated commitment to supporting your local community.

A Charity of the Year partnership entails working with us for the duration of a year. You’ll help raise both vital income, and awareness of our services.

By affiliating with St Clare, we’ll also proudly support you throughout your fundraising journey. And, we’ll look to promote our partnership to local networks and the public. By entering a one-year partnership with us, your colleagues, clients and customers will know that your support for St Clare is contributing to vital care and support that touches the lives of neighbours, friends and family.
