Salary: £10.02 per hour

Hours: Flexible

Location: Various Locations (Debden, Epping, Great Dunmow, Loughton, Saffron Walden, Buckhurst Hill and Harlow)

Overview of role

St Clare Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative care to patients and families in West Essex and the East Hertfordshire borders.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves retail and an exciting time to join St Clare Hospice Retail. This is a great role for someone looking to develop their management skills further within a busy charity Retail environment.

You will need to be an energetic, resilient team leader supporting the volunteer and staff team to deliver the very best customer service experience to our supporters, donors and customers.

You will be diligent in daily compliance across health and safety in the workplace and compliance of Retail gift aid processing to maximise the income at every opportunity.

You will need to be flexible to provide cover for our shop managers and assistant shop managers’ annual leave, so this could be for a couple of days to a couple of weeks. We will hold a register of bank staff and you will generally be contacted at least 4 weeks before you are needed to cover the shop. However short notice offers to cover sick absence may occur.

In return for your commitment, we offer a full induction of what is expected of the role, ongoing training, a competitive day rate and you will have the opportunity to move into a permanent role as and when they become available.

Expenses will be paid at the rate of equivalent public transport from your home to the shop and if you drive, we will reimburse your car parking.
