Overview of role

St Clare Hospice is on a mission to bring hidden treasures and vintage one-offs to the next generation of shoppers on the hunt for ethical and sustainable fashion and lifestyle homewares.

If you can get your head round an e-commerce platform like eBay, and you can spot a diamond in the rough, then this could be the role for you. We receive donations to our stores from all walks of life, and so this job is a treasure hunters dream!

Working at St Clare Hospice is a highly rewarding experience. You’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary, hospice-wide team, at a highly-valued local charity that supports people who need specialist palliative care in West Essex and East Hertfordshire. The work you do raises the funds needed to deliver the specialist care St Clare Hospice, ensuring that those with the most complex conditions are cared for in a supportive environment. This means family members can become husbands, wives, sons and daughters again, rather than carers.

We strive to develop staff engagement and satisfaction, maintain employee retention, and ensure St Clare Hospice is a preferred employer of choice. This role sits within our Retail Team – you will work closely with your store team counterparts. Your line manager will support and guide you as you develop in your role, giving you the autonomy and flexibility to excel.

Formal qualifications are not a prerequisite to carry out this role as training and development will be provided to the right candidate; we value the skills and experiences you bring.

Please read the job description (link below) for further details.

In return for your commitment, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, generous leave allowance, pension and life assurance scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, and free parking.  We offer excellent development opportunities and are committed to supporting individuals in their learning and development.
