Overview of role

St Clare Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative care to patients and families in West Essex and the East Hertfordshire borders.

Are you interested in Vintage & Retro and looking for a new retail challenge? Are you customer service and results driven? If so, we may have the perfect job for you in our Vintage and Retro St Clare charity shop located in Harlow.

You will need to be a creative retailer; highly motivated with the ability to continue to surround the customers with an ever-changing range of pre-loved fashion, accessories, books and artefacts. You will have the opportunity to continue to develop the shop and create an ambiance that ensures local people keep returning to donate, shop and volunteer with St Clare.

You will be an energetic, resilient team leader supporting the volunteer and staff team to deliver the very best customer service experience to our supporters, donors and customers.

You will be diligent in daily compliance across health and safety in the workplace and compliance of Retail gift aid processing to maximise the income at every opportunity.

You will be able to create visually impacting displays to recreate the vintage and retro look and feel of the shop and also be able to identify unique pieces that can raise the most for St Clare Hospice.

Please read the job description (link below) for further details.

In return for your commitment, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, generous leave allowance, pension and life assurance scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, free parking and the option to continue your membership of the NHS pension scheme.  We offer excellent development opportunities and are committed to supporting individuals in their learning and development.
