Location: St Clare Hospice Donation Centre, 9 & 10 the Links Business Centre, Raynham Road, Bishops Stortford, CM23 5NZ

Salary: £18,154.00 pro rata

Hours: Part time (30 hours) 4 days out of 7

Overview of the role

St Clare Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative care to patients and families in West Essex and the East Hertfordshire borders.

Our New Donation Centre in Bishop’s Stortford is looking for a Distribution Sorting Assistant, this is a key role within our distribution team, supporting our van driver with furniture deliveries and collections within our catchment area, as well as distributing donations across our 9 shops. This role will involve working closely with the entire Distribution team, as well as each shop, to ensure we get the right donations to the right shop. You will also help with the sorting and selection of donations to be sent out to shop.

You will be a team player, with a flexible approach to work, willing to learn new skills whilst developing your current ones.  You will be the face of St Clare around our catchment areas and will represent us in shops, on the road and in our customers’ homes when delivering and collecting furniture.  You will also need to be physically fit as this role involves moving heavy furniture.
