Our charity Christmas cards this year feature familiar local scenery from Saffron Walden, Harlow, Dunmow, Loughton and Bishop’s Stortford!

In the lead up to Christmas, we have launched a selection of festive greeting cards featuring 15 original designs to celebrate the yuletide season.

Within the collection are some seasonal artistic impressions of familiar landscapes within the West Essex and East Herts community – the area in which we offer our free, compassionate care to local people facing a life-limiting illness.

Hand-painted by local artists in support of St Clare, locations featured in the collection include: Saffron Walden, Harlow, Great Dunmow, Loughton and Bishop’s Stortford. The festive designs are painted by a group of East Anglian based artists: Charles Evans, Sheena Russell, Mike Sherard, Rod Brown, and Sharon Kulesa.

A pack of 10 cards costs £3.95 – enough to pay for one hour of our 24 hour advice line, which provides critical support and assistance to people in need of immediate advice.

It costs St Clare Hospice £44 to pay for Christmas dinner for a whole family whose loved one is staying on ourInpatient Unit. That means that just 10 packs of Christmas cards need to be bought to bring a little joy to a family who is going through one of life’s most difficult journeys this Christmas.

The Christmas greeting cards are available to purchase from any of St Clare’s eight charity shops, or at the hospice centre itself.

Alternatively, they can also be purchased on St Clare’s Facebook shop page at www.facebook.com/stclarehospice shop or on their eBay shop at www.stores.ebay.co.uk/St-Clare-Hospice
