Community groups play a vital role in supporting St Clare Hospice. Whether you're part of a club, society, faith group, pub or local organisation, there are lots of ways to get involved.

The Crooked Billet

The Crooked Billet raised nearly £3,000 across 2025 and 2026 through a race night and Christmas fundraising, inspired by their connection to the hospice.

‘We are incredibly grateful to everyone at The Crooked Billet for their fantastic support over the past two years. Raising nearly £3,000 through their race night and Christmas fundraising is a fantastic achievement, and it means even more knowing it was inspired by a personal connection to St Clare Hospice.

‘Their generosity will help us continue providing compassionate care and support to local people and their families when they need it most.’

Clavering Friends of St Clare

Clavering Friends of St Clare have raised over £40,000 over the years – their ongoing commitment makes a significant difference and provides vital, reliable income for the hospice.

Through their annual Spring Fayre, popular quiz nights, wreath-making workshops and a variety of other community events, they continue to bring people together in support of local hospice care.

‘Clavering Friends of St Clare have been incredible supporters of the hospice, raising more than £40,000 through years of dedication and community fundraising. Their continued support provides vital income that helps us be there for local people across West Essex and the borders of East Hertfordshire. We are hugely grateful for everything they do.’
