Dedicate a leaf

The St Clare Memory Tree features hundreds of personalised bronze, silver and gold leaves. Each leaf bears a personal message or the name of someone special, representing and celebrating the lives of those who are no longer with us.

By dedicating a leaf on the St Clare Memory Tree you are helping local people with life-limiting illnesses, and their families, receive the care they desperately need. With your help we can reach even more people who need us.

Dedicate or Renew your Memory Tree leaf

We offer three types of leaf and ask for a suggested donation for each leaf you order. Your leaf(s) will stay on our Memory Tree for a year, after which you will be offered the chance to renew it or have it returned to you as a keepsake. You can donate for the entire year up front, or as smaller monthly donations by Direct Debit.

£85 could offer five hours of expert social work support, helping someone feel understood, supported and never alone in their grief.

£256

£256 could help fund three hours of Hospice at Home care, allowing our teams to support people at home with compassion, kindness and dignity when they need it most.

£592

£592 could help towards the cost of four hours’ care on our Inpatient Unit, with our doctors, nurses and therapists working side-by-side to support people with the most complex needs.

  1. On receipt of your order form your request will be granted subject to approval of the inscription, availability of leaves and remaining space being available on the Memory Tree
  2. St Clare reserves the right to refuse any application at its discretion.
  3. St Clare retains complete control over the location and dates of installation of all leaves on the Memory Tree.
  4. Leaves are bronze, silver and gold in colour.
  5. Each leaf can only hold up to 58 characters including punctuation and spaces.
  6. The name engraved on your leaf will appear exactly as entered so please check spelling carefully.
  7. Payee is able to request a different inscription and choice of leaf at point of annual renewal.
  8. Payee must inform the Fundraising team of any changes to their contact details.
  9. If the payee is uncontactable at time of renewal, the leaf will be removed and stored
    safely at the Hospice.
  10. In exceptional circumstances St Clare reserves the right to relocate the Memory Tree.
  11. St Clare are able to change the suggested donation of each leaf should they need to.
  12. Memory Tree leaf dedications created by Direct Debit will automatically renew each year unless St Clare Hospice are notified otherwise. Your inscription will remain the same unless the hospice are informed of an update, which you are permitted to make.

June’s Story

When June lost her sister Brenda, then her mother-in-law. St Clare Hospice was there for them both.

“You caught us when we were falling – twice. I don’t know how we’d have coped without you.”

After Brenda died, June’s family dedicated a leaf to her on the St Clare Hospice Memory Tree.

For June, the Memory Tree isn’t just a symbol. It has become a place to visit, remember, and feel close again.

“We brought the kids in to see her leaf. Having somewhere to go, seeing her name there, it means everything.

“It’s a way to give back to St Clare, but it’s more than that. It keeps her close.”
