Welcome to St Clare Hospice’s weekly coffee shop on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings!
Café Clare is our weekly coffee shop. Just like a regular high-street coffee shop, Café Clare offers a place to meet and connect with other local people. Catch up with friends with breakfast bites, tea and coffee at great prices for you to enjoy.
Saffron Walden Café Clare – Thursday mornings
As of 2nd November 2023 you can now come along to Saffron Walden’s Café Clare anytime between 10am and 12 noon. You can find us at the Jubilee Hub (run by UCAN), Jubilee Gardens, Hill Street, Saffron Walden, CB10 3EH.
If you would like to stay for the afternoon, we now offer a drop in session after Cafe Clare in the same place, where you can talk to us about your needs, what you’d like to get from your local hospice and chat to staff and volunteers. No need to book, just drop in between 1pm and 3pm. You’ll be sure of a friendly welcome.
The nearest car park to the Saffron Walden Café Clare is Waitrose, Fairycroft Rd, Elm Grove, Saffron Walden CB10 1FJ.
St Clare Hospice Café Clare – Friday mornings
You can also visit Café Clare at our Hastingwood location at St Clare Hospice. There is free parking onsite and you can drop in any time between 10am and midday.

Got a question about St Clare?
Café Clare is the perfect opportunity to find out more about your local hospice and the supportive services we have on offer. At Café Clare, you are welcome to come and speak with our staff and volunteers about how you may want to get involved with St Clare and access our support, whilst getting a feel for the hospice itself during your visit.
You’re also welcome to enquire about supporting our hospice charity, whether it be through fundraising initiatives or by joining our volunteering teams.
If you want to speak to someone at the Hospice, Café Clare is the place to be!
MND Association at Café Clare
We are now hosting a monthly Café Clare in partnership with MND Association for people with motor neurone disease, their families and carers, offering a friendly chat and support over tea, coffee and breakfast bites.
Come along on the second Friday of the month between 10am and 12pm and connect with MND Association, their volunteers and others living with, or affected by MND, in the beautiful setting of your local hospice.
The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those with MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The charity has a network of 88 branches and groups run by volunteers.
Whether you are a person living with MND, a carer or family member, help is available. If you would like to speak to someone, visit www.mndassociation.org or contact Area Support Co-ordinator Justine Cox at justine.cox@mndassociation.org or 01604 800659.
