Meet and connect with other Dementia Carers
The Dementia Carers’ Café takes place every week at the Hospice, from 10am to 12pm on Thursdays in the Community Space.
Caring for someone with dementia is something you shouldn’t have to manage alone. Connecting with others who are also carers, and supporting one another, can be really helpful.
Dementia Carers’ Café offers you a safe space to meet and connect those who understand. Relax over a cup of tea or coffee and share your experiences, and build connections.
Run by our trained volunteers, it is completely free to attend, and you don’t need to book.
Carers and family members can attend this Dementia Carers’ Café. Please note, this is not a service for people living with dementia. It is a supportive space for their carers.

Dementia Friendly Gardening Club
Our Dementia Friendly Gardening Club is held every Thursday between 10am and 12pm to support people to live well with dementia. Connect with the natural world and enjoy the physical, social and therapeutic benefits of gardening and nature-related craft activities.
Led by our trained volunteers, sessions will be held outdoors (weather permitting) or in our Community Space and are run alongside our Dementia Carers’ Café so attendees can potter, plant and grow while their carers take some time apart to relax with a hot drink and meet with others in a similar situation.
Spaces for our Dementia Friendly Gardening Club are limited, so booking is essential. Call our Community Engagement team on 07534 031702 to book.
