Meet and connect with other Dementia Carers
The Dementia Carers’ Café takes place every Thursday at the Hospice, from 10am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Caring for someone with dementia is something you shouldn’t have to manage alone. Connecting with others who are also carers, and supporting one another, can be really helpful.
Our Dementia Carers’ Café offers you a safe space to meet and connect with those who understand. Relax over a cup of tea or coffee, share your experiences and build connections.
Run by our trained volunteers, it is completely free to attend, and you don’t need to book.
Carers and family members can attend this Dementia Carers’ Café. Please note, this is not a service for people living with dementia. It is a supportive space for their carers.

Dementia Activity & Gardening Club
Our Dementia Activity & Gardening Club is held every Thursday between 10am and 12pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm to support people to live well with dementia. Connect socially with others and the natural world by enjoying the physical, social and therapeutic benefits of activities such as light gardening, sensory crafts and games.
Led by our trained volunteers, sessions will be held both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting) in our Community Space and adjoining sensory garden. The group is run alongside our Dementia Carers’ Café so attendees can take part in meaningful activities while their carers take time apart to relax with a hot drink and meet with others in a similar situation.
Spaces for our Dementia Activity & Gardening Club are limited, so booking is essential. Call our Dementia Support Services coordinator Joanne Morrison on 07534 031702 to book.
Our dementia gardening group is kindly supported by Loughton Town Council and Harlow ‘Find Your Active’.
