We ask that all of our charity trekkers raise at least £450 as part of this event. As a charity, we rely on donations to provide compassionate, expert hospice care in our community. But don’t worry, we’re here to make sure your fundraising is enjoyable and successful.

All of Discover Adventure’s trips are designed to provide a challenge. Trips are graded: yellow, orange or red – in increasing level of challenge. This trip lies within the yellow range.

The grade is determined by factors such as terrain, distance, climate and altitude. Each colour grade has a spectrum which reflects the difficulty of these factors. Trip duration, accommodation and living conditions are also taken into account.

Some sections will feel more challenging than others, but the grade reflects the other trip. Unusual weather conditions can also have a significant impact.

No – as people will be travelling from all over the UK, we ask supporters to book their own travel and accomodation. Due to the nature of the challenge, we’d encourage that everyone considers either:

• Using public transport to travel home
• Arranging for a friend or relative to give you a lift
• Booking accommodation nearby to allow you to rest before travelling home

We will be following the Llanberis path up and down the mountain.

Precise timings and locations will be supplied to you one month prior to your trek. Your challenge begins late in the evening, where you’ll register, meet the leaders, and complete a safety briefing. You’ll begin your trek close to midnight, and it takes approximately 8 hours to complete. Sunrise is around 5am. At the finish line, we will have a celebration breakfast before you head home. We anticipate everyone will be finished by 8am

Yes – this is a leader-led challenge and you will be always accompanied by our challenge partner’s mountain leaders .

Before you begin: You will receive a snack and a hot drink. Water will be available at the event venue, however we’d advise that you arrive at the start with your water bottles already filled.

During the trek: We strongly advise you to bring sweets and energy bars if desired as snacks during the challenge.

After the trek: You’ll enjoy a hearty celebration buffet-style breakfast upon completing the challenge.

There will be toilets both at the start and end of the trek. However, during the challenge, facilities will be limited to the great outdoors!

Yes, we’ll provide everyone with a code for a FREE personalised t-shirt.

Yes, everyone will receive a medal at the end of their trek.

There are two fundraising options:

• Minimum sponsorship (Option A) – Pledge to raise £450

• Self-funded (Option B) – Raise as much as you can!

If you’re collecting money on an Enthuse page, there’s nothing you need to do – your sponsorship comes directly to us.

If you have collected any cash, you can bank it and pay it in using one of these options:

  • Pay the donations directly onto your Enthuse page, if you have one.
