Improve your knowledge and understanding of palliative and end-of-life care at St Clare Hospice’s Learning Together Study Days in 2024

What are the St Clare Learning Together Study Days?

St Clare Hospice are inviting health and social care professionals to attend our bi-annual Learning Together Study Days to learn from our expert clinical team and special guest speakers, as we share expertise and best practice and explore the best ways to provide relief from the symptoms, pain and stress of living with a serious progressive illness – whatever the diagnosis.

The study days are designed for all health and social care professionals who work in hospitals, care homes and other settings that care for patients with palliative care needs and are suitable for the entire multidisciplinary team.

Taking place at Harlow Study Centre in June and November, the study days will include lectures, seminars, interactive workshops and information stands. Five CPD points have been applied for and you will receive a certificate of attendance.

What are the issues that prevent the spiritual needs of patients from being met at the end of their life – and what can we do to change this?

Community and religious leads from a broad range of faiths will join experienced palliative care practitioners to discuss their experiences of death and dying.

Gain a greater knowledge and understanding of spiritual and cultural sensitivities when managing the care of dying patients, and their loved ones by learning more about different religions, faiths and beliefs and what is important to them and the end of life.
