We’re honoured to have celebrated your loved one’s memory this November and December. We hope you found comfort coming together with others who understand what it’s like to grieve the loss of someone special.
Make a donation in memory of your loved one
If you would like to make a donation in memory of your loved one and support St Clare Hospice to help support local families we would be very grateful.
How your support makes a difference
St Clare cannot provide expert hospice care for families affected by a life-limiting illness without the support of local people like yourself – families like Hollie and Harry’s.

Harry, his wife Hollie and their three daughter’s lives were turned upside down when Harry was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Hollie, his wife, shared: ‘Harry and I were childhood sweethearts. Together since we were 14, we had our whole lives mapped out – a big family while we were young, so we could travel when we retired. Harry was just 32 when I lost him.’
‘I did everything I could to help Harry stay at home, but his pain became too much for him. That’s when St Clare Hospice stepped in.
‘We knew after our first stay that there was nothing to fear about going to the hospice. It took just one night to realise what an amazing place it is – the care Harry got was phenomenal.
‘What stayed with me was how the nurses looked after all of us – not just Harry, but me and the girls too. The hospice gave us time together, space to be a family, and the kind of care you don’t get anywhere else.’
A donation through Light up a Life means more families like Harry’s can have St Clare’s skilled and compassionate team by their side through life’s hardest moments. Thank you for anything you can give today.
