Melissa Jones lives in Saffron Walden, where she is an active community member.
Melissa taught at Saffron Walden County High School where she was Head of Expressive Art and then Advanced Skills teacher with responsibility for Gifted and Talented pupils. Melissa also lectured at Homerton College Cambridge and Reading University and has written drama education books.
In 2006 Melissa set up Inspire, an education training company, running courses and in-house training for teachers in the UK and abroad. This work took her to international schools throughout Europe as well as to Kuwait and Egypt.
In 2017, Melissa was the Captain of Saffron Walden Golf club where she has been a member since 1999.
Melissa is a Director and a Trustee of the Donald Forrester Trust and Gwynneth Forrester Trust – both of which have supported St Clare Hospice generously in the past.
Melissa Jones became a Patron of St Clare Hospice in 2018 and is keen to promote the work of the Hospice in her local community of Saffron Walden.
