Jeff’s current role is as Consultant in Intensive Care and Anaesthetics at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, where he also offers his expertise as the Deputy Responsible Officer in Appraisal and Revalidation. In addition, Jeff takes time to lecture as College Tutor at the Royal College of Anaesthetics, with experience formerly in delivering post-graduate lectures at Anglia Ruskin University.
With his experience in various leadership roles throughout both local and national organisations, Jeff has worked on driving policy and strategic changes to ensure the safest and most effective provision of care for those who need it most.
Jeff’s passion for hospice care was solidified after his mother died at home with the support of her local hospice in Wales. Drawing on the similarities between intensive and palliative care, Jeff’s focus at St Clare’s centres around ensuring equitable, high-quality care for our communities, alongside the Hospice’s presence within the local healthcare landscape.
Outside of his various roles in healthcare leadership, Jeff enjoys a varied selection of hobbies such as specialist cooking; playing musical instruments and attending opera and classical music (including the occasional performance as a professional singer and musician!); scuba diving; and travel.
