Remember someone special at Stansted Memorial Gardens, Stansted Mountfitchet this December
We would like to invite you, your family and friends to join us at this year’s Light up a Life service in Stansted Mountfitchet – hosted by Stansted Mountfitchet Parish Council and St John’s Church.
Light up a Life is our annual celebration of everything that St Clare Hospice stands for – joining together with families from across our community in honour of their loved ones. Candles are lit as we remember, with every shining light representing the life and memories of a loved one.

- Time – Saturday 5 December 2026
- Location – Stansted Memorial Gardens, Chapel Hill, Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, CM24 8AQ then refreshments to follow at St John’s Church, St John’s Rd, Stansted Mountfitchet, Stansted, CM24 8JP
This year’s service will take place outdoors in the Memorial Gardens on Chapel Hill before guests are invited to enjoy refreshments at St John’s Church Hall.
Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you or not have experienced St Clare’s care, and no matter how long ago your loss was.
If you want to attend a service in the community, such as Stansted Mountfitchet, please just arrive on the day at the time listed.
Whilst it is not essential, we would appreciate it if you could let us know whether you are able to attend so that we can keep track of numbers. If you would like to RSVP, please email light@stclarehospice.org.uk. If you’re unable to do so, please don’t worry, we would still be delighted to welcome you on the day.
