Supporting St Clare Hospice
St Clare Hospice’s care helps patients, their families, and carers, to make the most of every moment together, no matter how long they have left to live. However, we only receive limited funding from the NHS. Meaning we rely on our local community to help raise money to fund our hospice.
We need to raise more than 70% of our annual costs to provide our vital services; in 2024/2025 the running costs of our charity are expected to be £8.1 million. We therefore rely on our local community to help us raise money each year so we can continue being there for local families facing one of the most difficult journeys in life.
Any donation you can give today will directly help local families.

Natasha’s story

Natasha, 52, came to St Clare with terminal ovarian cancer. She had been visited at home by the Hospice Clinical Nurse Specialist team, and, when the time was right, after some hospital admissions, Natasha was admitted to the specialist unit for end-of-life care. During her time in the unit, she
decided she’d like to have a “living funeral” – a celebration of her life – and so, on Saturday 13 April, around 100 of her friends and family gathered at the Hospice for what Natasha describes a “joyous” occasion.
