What is the Living Well programme?

The Living Well programme will provide you with practical skills and knowledge to help you live well with a life-limiting condition.

Sessions are held in small groups, bringing you together with other people to share experiences and meet with others who understand.

The programme is delivered for one full day each week, for six consecutive weeks, by a specialist team at the Hospice centre in Hastingwood. The team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and nurse consultants.

Topics covered include:

  • Fatigue & anxiety management
  • Coping with change
  • Navigating services
  • Preparing for your next consultation
  • Planning for your future

How can I get referred?

If you would like to be considered for a space on the Living Well programme, you can call First Contact on 01279 773711. Alternatively, talk to your GP or other health care professional and ask to be referred.

Participants need to be over 18 years old, living in West Essex or East Herts, and diagnosed with a life-limiting condition.
