Club together for St Clare Hospice and enter a team for the charity’s annual charity golf day this May.

The sporting event, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Epping, takes place at picturesque Saffron Walden Golf Club on Thursday 16th May.

Teams will tee off for 18-holes of golf set in the charming surrounds of historic Audley End House, before returning to the clubhouse for a delicious two-course dinner, auction and prize-giving.

There will be prizes for the winning team as well as nearest-the-pin and longest drive.

Ellie Gale, St Clare’s Relationship Fundraising Manager, said: “Get your clubs at the ready for a fantastic day of golfing in the beautiful Essex countryside – all while raising vital funds for your local Hospice.

“Our golf day is open to teams or up to four players, or if you’re registering as an individual we will set you up with other players to create a team. Either way it’s promises to be a great day out on the green in support of St Clare Hospice and the local people who need our specialist, compassionate care.”

For the past 17 years, the sporting event has been organised by the Rotary Club of Epping, which has raised more than £212,000 for St Clare Hospice. The 2023 event raised more than £16,000 alone, enough to cover the cost of St Clare’s Community Palliative Care Team, who visit patients and their families at home to help them manage complex symptoms and therefore avoid unnecessary hospital admissions, for four days.

Registration for 2024 is £400 per team of four, or £100 for an individual place. For full details, and to register, click here
