Working hand in hand with local businesses
On 1 May we will officially launch our new corporate partnerships initiative. The St Clare Hospice Business Club takes our charity in a new direction in our relationships with local businesses.
St Clare Hospice’s Corporate Partnerships Manager, Amy Jacobs, said: “Over the past decade we have seen a national movement in businesses away from philanthropy and non-strategic donations, to developing long-lasting and mutually beneficial partnerships with charities. The St Clare Hospice Business Club is our local response to this change in direction and offers businesses a new way of partnership working.”
“The Business Club offers its members the chance to step up their responsible business agenda and really support the growth and strategic development of a vital community service that will affect many of their employees. The Business Club is not just about doing good, however, and offers real tangible business benefits. St Clare Hospice is ready to do business.”
Barnes and Partners solicitors, who have 11 offices across North London and West Essex including a branch in Harlow, are a founding member of the St Clare Hospice Business Club.
Nigel Barnes, Founder and Senior Partner, said: “As a local firm who is dedicated to serving families in our community, we are delighted to be able to partner with our local hospice through the Business Club. We are proud to be a founding member of the initiative and see this as a positive way to make a sustainable difference to our local Hospice, while also supporting our own business objectives.”
Kim Boylett, Legal Executive at Barnes and Partners, said: “Amy approached me with this proposition and it made complete business sense for us. It is the perfect solution to help Barnes and Partners raise their profile in the local community while also making a difference to St Clare Hospice. The benefits are entirely mutual, which you don’t often find in charity partnerships.”
Tanya Curry, CEO of St Clare Hospice, said “We are delighted to welcome Barnes and Partners as our inaugural member of the St Clare Hospice Business Club. We look forward to working together over the coming year, and to supporting even more local families and their loved ones through our partnership.”
Membership of the St Clare Hospice Business Club includes three streams of membership, Platinum, Gold and Silver, offering a variety of benefits to businesses. Starting from £5,000 per year, members will receive a bespoke service and dedicated partnership management throughout the year from the St Clare team. Membership benefits include: increased profile in the community, extensive advertising and marketing, and a big tick for members’ corporate responsibility agendas.
