Organised by local hairdresser Geraldine Wilson, the Loughton Santa Run was a great success this year, and we just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part.

The jolly event back in November saw dozens of St Clare Santas, young and old, human and canine, run the 5K from Debden all the way to Geraldine’s Hair Fashions in The Broadway! There was more fun on the day than just the ho-ho-high street run though, with a raffle, an auction and even a Rod Stewart look alike!

St Clare Community Fundraiser, Dani De’ath said:

“It really was a great event based around the community, with the majority of the high street helping out by donating bits, and everyone getting involved in the raffle.

“Thank you to everyone who took part in the run or helped with sponsorship, arrangements on the day, marshalling or donations.”

The event has raised over six thousand pounds so far, and donations are still pouring in.

Thank you Geraldine, thank you Debden and thank you to all our Santas!
