Harlow Estate Agents host family fun day!

Local estate agents Reyland Johnson presented a cheque for £7,500 to St Clare following the success of their family fun day held on Saturday 8 July.

The annual community fundraiser, held at The Link in Harlow, attracted more than 2,000 visitors and the event is regarded by many as one of Harlow’s best family-fun community events of the summer period. Families were treated to a day of entertainment, including musical and dance performances, a bouncy castle and games, stalls and a car display.

Event organisers, James Reyland and Ben Johnson, were delighted to smash their fundraising target of £5,000 – in the end making a healthy £7,500 profit for the hospice. In total Reyland Johnson have raised over £14,500 for St Clare over the past 3 years through their fun day events and other fundraising activities. This incredible amount is enough to fund the Hospice’s 24 hour advice line for more than 6 months.

James Reyland and Ben Johnson commented:

“Hundreds of local families in our town benefit from the specialist care provided by St Clare Hospice, and so we arranged this fun day on their behalf as our way of giving back to the community that we are so fond of. We were delighted with how many people attended on the day, the feedback we’ve had has been fantastic, and the amount we raised was well above our expectations.”

St Clare Director of Income Generation, Cheryl Armitage, said:

“We are so grateful to Reyland Johnson for once again hosting their fantastic family fun day for St Clare. It was wonderful to see the community coming together in support of their local hospice charity – raising much needed funds for us and having a great time while doing it. We are already looking forward to next year’s event – and for Reyland Johnson setting the bar even higher!”
