How Paws for a Cause makes a difference
Raising £50
Could pay for an hours visit by one of our clinical nurse specialist team, who can give specialist advice and emotional support on the phone and face to face, to ensure the patient feels reassured and confident in their care.
Raising £100
Could pay towards an hour of care on our Inpatient Unit, which brings compassionate and expert care together in one place.
Raising £200
Could help cover the cost of running our 24 Hour Advice Line for eight hours, where nursing staff are on hand day and night to allay fears and give expert advice.

Of course! You can complete your 31 or 62 mile challenge anytime in March.
How do I complete my 31 or 62 miles?
You can walk, wheel, run or jog wherever and however you like – whether it is short daily walks or longer adventures with your dog(s).
How do I track my miles?
When you register for Paws for a Cause on Enthuse.com, you will receive a downloadable tracker to track each mile you take.
Alternatively, you can use apps like Strava or Nike to track your mileage.
What safety precautions should I take?
When taking on Paws for a Cause, we advise you:
- Make sure someone knows your route
- Keep your phone charged
- Stay alert
- Carry a flashlight to help see when walking in the dark
- Take breaks as needed
What if I don’t finish the challenge?
Do your best! Your supporters will appreciate your efforts, and we are grateful for any funds – big or small – raised for St Clare Hospice.
