Are you caring for a relative, friend or neighbour who couldn’t manage without your help?

Then come along to St Clare Hospice’s first-ever Carers Connections Day on Tuesday 18th March and unlock the information and support you need to help you in your caring role.

Taking place at the Hospice from 10am to 4pm, the Carers Connections Day is a special free event offering caregivers practical information, expert advice and emotional support and connection in a welcoming and supportive space.

St Clare’s community engagement lead Paula Fogg said: “At St Clare Hospice, we know just how much unpaid carers give. But we also know that often they have difficulty in accessing the right information and support to help them in their caring role.

“If you’re an unpaid carer who is taking care of a family member, friend or neighbour, you deserve support too. Which is why we’re inviting you to come along to our free Carers Connections Day where you’ll be able to speak to the St Clare team about the support available from your local Hospice as well as meet representatives from local organisations who will be able to answer your questions.

“You’ll be able to learn about the resources, services and financial benefits and entitlements available to you, get advice on equipment, environment adaptations and digital support that can help you in your own home, and connect with others in a similar situation.”

Paula added: “Whether you’re new to caring, or have been doing it for years, we’d love to see you there so please pop in anytime between 10am and 4pm.”

The Carers Connections Day is being supported by Sue Surridge from Abridge Surgery. Organisations already confirmed to be there on the day include Alzheimer’s Society, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Essex Fire and Rescue Service, Action for Family Carers, Epping and Harlow Community Transport, Essex Social Services and Talking Therapies.
