The yuletide event promises to be a ho, ho, ho lot of fun as we invite our supporters to celebrate the start of the festive season with us by signing up for our family-friendly event being held on Sunday, December 13 at 9am.

The 5km route will start and finish at The Water Gardens in Harlow where there will be festive food and drink as well as Christmassy activities for all ages.

St Clare fundraiser Heather Cameron said: “Our Festive Fun Run promises to be a great way to kick off the countdown to Crimbo – and even earn yourself an extra mince pie.

“Everyone who takes part is encouraged to dress up as anything with a Christmas theme, whether it’s Santa and his elves, a reindeer, penguin or snowman costume, Christmas decorations or even a character from the Nativity.

“With a special warm-up by Pure Gym and a best festively dressed competition, there will be plenty going on to spread some seasonal good cheer to all. So go on, treat your’elf!”

Registration costs £7.50 for adults and £2.50 for children and participants are asked to pledge to raise a minimum of £45 in sponsorship, enough to cover the cost of providing Christmas dinner to a family staying at the Hospice over the festive period.

You can register here.

Runners can also register on the day from 8.15am. The route is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, and dogs are welcome.

The St Clare Festive Fun Run is kindly sponsored by Insight Private Finance.
