It’s time to dust off your antlers, lace up your trainers and get into the festive spirit.
St Clare Hospice is thrilled to announce the return of its Rudolph Run – a fun and jolly fundraising event that’s perfect for schools to enjoy during the festive season.
It’s never too early to talk about Christmas, and who can resist a chance to team up with Santa’s favourite reindeer for a great cause?
Schools across West Essex and the East Herts borders are being encouraged to recruit their very own reindeer squad and help raise vital funds for St Clare Hospice – all while having fun!
The Rudolph Run is a fantastic way to keep active during the winter months and spread some festive cheer, with all the money raised going toward supporting local families in need of care and support.
St Clare Hospice will also be offering an activity pack that can be used as a full day’s lesson plan, so teachers won’t need to prep anything! The pack will include activities aligned with key areas of the National Curriculum, such as:
- Maths activities and reasoning challenges
- Reading comprehension with vocabulary and creative writing tasks
- PSHE bereavement memory tree activity
- Mindfulness activities including colouring, word search and colour by numbers
Ellie Gale, St Clare Hospice Relationship Fundraising Manager, said: ‘‘Taking part in the Rudolph Run couldn’t be easier! You just need to choose a date, set the distance, and decide on a location – whether it’s your school playing field, the playground, or even around the block – and St Clare will supply everything else. You can make it a fun school event, a breaktime run, or even a festive daily mile activity. The choice is yours!’’
St Clare Hospice is a local charity that provides specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses in West Essex and East Hertfordshire. It needs to raise over £14,250 every day to keep its services running, and with your help, the Hospice can continue making a difference to those who need it most. The Rudolph Run is a fantastic way to get involved and show your support – all while having loads of festive fun!
