A clearance sale offering discounts on the entire range of pre-loved goods is being held from Monday, January 4 ahead of the renovation works getting underway.
It is the first time in more than 10 years that our biggest store has undergone this level of investment, with the aim of enhancing both the shopper and donor experience.
New display areas for furniture, bric-a-brac and clothing will be created on the shop floor, along with dedicated space for our ‘Vintage & Retro’ items and a new ‘Quality’ range of higher end high street fashion and accessories.
The re-fit will also provide an improved working environment for the shop’s team of volunteers, creating additional space to sort and process the 500-plus bags of donations the Harlow shop receives every week.
Our head of retail Fiona Eaton said: “The Harlow shop makeover is long overdue, and what better way to complete the rollout of our lovely new branding to all of our shops than culminating in this major renovation of our flagship store.
“We hope our customers will love the improvements we have made to enhance the experience for not only shoppers who come looking for a bargain, but also those who generously donate their pre-loved items for us to sell.”
The new-look shop will then re-open to the general public on Wednesday 27th January 2016 at 9:30am, and shoppers are invited to come and see the results of the makeover.
The Harlow renovations complete the re-branding of all eight of our St Clare shops following the launch of our charity’s new visual identity and logo last summer. While the shop is closed, we will only be able to accept limited donations of clothes only.
