Wear your festive knitwear and help St Clare!
We are calling on our local community to get cosy for St Clare this Christmas! This year, St Clare is inviting local businesses, schools and organisations to celebrate national Christmas Jumper Day (Tuesday 13 December) in honour of the hospice.
Groups of all ages are encouraged to support the festive jumper fundraiser by donning their favourite Christmas cardigan, Jolly jumper or Noel knitwear and making a donation to St Clare.
St Clare Community Fundraising Lead, Dani De’ath, said: “This year we want as many schools, local businesses and community groups as possible sporting their Christmas Jumpers for St Clare. What better way to get that warm fuzzy feeling this Christmas than by wrapping up warm in your favourite festive jumper and knowing that you are helping your local hospice?”
Dani said: “Whether you encourage your child’s nursery, playschool or primary school to take part, or organise a dress down day in your office, shop or workplace, it is one of the simplest and cosiest ways to support St Clare at this special time of year.”
Commenting on the care St Clare provides at Christmas, Dani said: “Our patients and their families are experiencing one of life’s hardest journeys, and going through such a difficult moment at Christmas time can often make it all the more heartbreaking. Our doctors, nurses and staff will be supporting families throughout the festive season – and of course, on Christmas Day itself – all thanks to the support and donations so generously given by our local community.”
